Turkish document translation for New Zealand applications
Uğur Arı — sworn translator, Kartal 12th Notary Office · Updated October 10, 2026
Certified Turkish–English translations prepared in Türkiye for Immigration New Zealand applications, starting from 35 NZD. For residence visas, Immigration New Zealand asks for a certified English translation of every supporting document not in English; for all visas, medical and police certificates need a certified translation. It accepts certified translations from “reputable private or official translation businesses”. Each of our translations is on our letterhead, certified as a correct translation, signed and stamped by Uğur Arı, a sworn translator whose oath is recorded at the Kartal 12th Notary Office, with his full name, address, phone number, qualifications and experience. A standard single-page document is 35 NZD and an academic or official document 45 NZD.
How much does Turkish to English translation cost for New Zealand?
| Document or package | Price |
|---|---|
| Standard single-page document, e.g. birth record, criminal record, residence record, passport data page, ID card, driving licence | 35 NZD |
| Academic or official document, e.g. diploma, transcript, marriage certificate, certificate, equivalence certificate | 45 NZD |
| Visa or residence package — up to 5 documents (e.g. passport, ID, birth record, marriage certificate, police certificate, bank statement) | 150 NZD |
| Student or academic package — up to 10 documents (e.g. diploma, transcript, equivalence certificate, certificates, language certificate) | 275 NZD |
| Long, dense or multi-page documents (court decisions, contracts, long records) | Written quote after review |
Prices are per document or package, by document class; you are not charged per word or character. The packages cover documents of the two classes above. Court decisions such as a divorce decree, and long, densely written, handwritten or multi-page documents, are not part of a package and are quoted after we see them. Send several documents together and you get one written quote before you pay.
Each price includes the English translation on our letterhead, the translator’s statement that it is a correct and accurate translation, his full name, address, phone number, qualifications and experience, the date, signature and stamp, and PDF delivery. Notarisation, an apostille and courier delivery are quoted separately when required.

| Application | Translation rule (Immigration New Zealand) |
|---|---|
| Residence visas | “All supporting documents submitted with your resident visa application must be provided in English or include a certified English translation.” |
| Visitor visas | Full English translations of documents not in English. Since 26 May 2025 these translations “do not need to be certified”, except medical and police certificates. The translator’s full name, address, phone number, and qualifications and experience must be given. |
| All other visas | “You must provide us with certified English translations of all medical and police certificates. This includes police certificates that record no convictions.” Translating other documents helps processing. |
A certified translation must be “on the translation business’s official letterhead, if possible”, “certified as a correct translation by the translator” and “stamped or signed by the translator or translation business”. You, a family member or the immigration adviser on your application cannot translate the documents. Source: Immigration New Zealand — English translations of supporting documents.
What our certified translation includes
- A complete English translation of the Turkish document, including stamps and notes, on our letterhead.
- The translator’s statement that it is a correct and accurate translation of the original document, with the date, signature and stamp.
- The translator’s details Immigration New Zealand asks for: full name, address, phone number, and qualifications and experience — sworn translator, oath recorded at the Kartal 12th Notary Office in Istanbul; bachelor’s degree in translation and interpreting; 15 years of translation experience.
- Names spelled as in your passport: send your passport page with the order.
- A PDF for your online application; scan your original document clearly and upload it with the translation.
For a visitor visa, the same translation also meets the uncertified rule, so one translation covers both.
