To use a Turkish document abroad, you usually apostille it in Turkey first, then have it sworn-translated into English. Some countries and institutions require a translation certified in their own country; confirm the accepted type with the institution that will receive the document before you start.

An official Turkish document going abroad is apostilled in Turkey first: administrative documents at the district governorship (kaymakamlık) or the provincial governorship (valilik), judicial documents at the Justice Commission Presidency at the courthouse; for notarial documents, confirm the competent authority before you apply.
The apostille is always issued in the country that produced the document and is valid between Hague Convention member states.
2. Sworn English translation
After the apostille, the document is translated from Turkish into English by a sworn translator, signed and stamped. If the procedure requires it, the translation is then notarized in Turkey.
3. Confirm the destination's acceptance
Some countries (US, Canada) accept a translator-certified translation, while others require a translator registered in their own country. Ask the receiving institution — university, immigration, employer — which type it accepts before you translate.

Which class your document falls into, and whether any extra step is needed, is confirmed after document review. Notarisation, apostille, courier and other extra steps are not included and are listed separately in your written quote. Foreign-currency figures are calculated from the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye buying rate of 9 October 2026 (NZD: ECB cross rate) and rounded up to .99.
Is the apostille done before the translation?
Usually yes — the apostille goes on the original before translation. The exact order depends on the receiving institution.
Is a translation done in Turkey valid abroad?
In most cases an apostilled document plus a sworn translation is accepted; some institutions require a translation certified in their own country. Confirm in advance.

- You receive a written quote. Translation, any required certification, delivery and turnaround, before you pay.
- Your translation is prepared. No upfront payment is required for the translation.
- You see it first. Once your translation is completed, we share a watermarked preview showing a suitable part of the document. The preview does not expose unnecessary personal data and does not replace the signed and stamped official document.
- Then you pay. After your payment is confirmed, the final, watermark-free translation with the translator’s statement, signature and stamp is delivered in the agreed format.

After you accept the written quote, you can pay by card, by bank transfer to our IBAN, or by Western Union where delivery to a bank account is available from your location; cash is possible in person in Türkiye.
