In Turkey, a sworn translation is signed by a translator who has taken an oath before a notary, and notarized if required. Abroad, 'certified translation' varies by country: in the US a translator's certification statement, in the UK a translator's or translation company's signed statement of accuracy, in some countries a court-sworn translator. Which one is valid depends on the institution that receives the document.

'Certified translation' by country
US: a translator's certification (accuracy and competency) statement is accepted by most institutions. UK (UKVI): a statement of accuracy from the translator or translation company, the date of translation, their full name and signature, and contact details are required; ITI/CIOL membership or a registered agency is not stated as a general requirement. Countries such as Germany and France require a court- or cour d'appel-sworn translator.
Which one do you need?
The deciding question: in which country and to which institution will the document be submitted? An apostilled sworn translation from Turkey is accepted in many places; some institutions require a translation certified in their own country. Confirm the acceptance rule with the receiving institution.

Is a translation done in Turkey valid in the US?
Most US institutions accept an apostilled document plus an English translation with a translator's statement. Confirm the institution's requirement in advance.
Are 'certified translation' and 'sworn translation' the same?
The concepts are similar but their legal basis differs by country. In Turkey the basis is a notary oath; elsewhere it may be a translator's statement or a court registration.

- You see it first. Once your translation is completed, we share a watermarked preview showing a suitable part of the document. The preview does not expose unnecessary personal data and does not replace the signed and stamped official document.
- Then you pay. After your payment is confirmed, the final, watermark-free translation with the translator’s statement, signature and stamp is delivered in the agreed format.
